N.A.Z. Pankey wrote her first book titled, Evergreen Uprooted, Memoirs of Secret. It’s her life story – A story of redemption, hope, and inspiration about overcoming the adversities of life.


Pankey is the oldest of six siblings. Pankey was born in New York City, NY. She is a mother of two sons, and a graduate of Norwalk Community College where she studied to obtain a degree in Television Production and Media Studies. Pankey wrote for the NCC Voice, which is the college Newspaper. She went on to intern and work for NBC’s Steve Wilkos, Jerry Springer, and Maury.


Pankey is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor’s Society, and she was nominated for Women of Promise and Distinction. 6 AVA awards for: Best Editing of a Music Video, Best Live Performance of Music Video, Best Screen Play, Best Story, Best Instructional Video, and Top Honor Student.


In 2014 Pankey started Atlanta Filmmakers Team, a group of almost 300 artists who come together to create films from pre-production to post-production.


Pankey has written two dramatic feature screenplays titled Secret and A Rose To Georgia. She is currently adapting Evergreen Uprooted, Memoirs of Secret into a coming of age dramatic feature.


Pankey wears many hats in movie production, including director, editor, casting, but above all writing which is her passion.
